FALL LEAGUES

Weekly Cost Breakdown:

Payment for the full season is due by the first session, but this breakdown is provided for reference:


Official WATL Individual League

Tuesdays 7pm-9pm

8 weeks – 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3 (skip for Election Day), 11/10

We will also host a League Celebration Night for our Official WATL Individual, Big Axe, and Duals League members on Tuesday 11/17 @ 7pm to give out awards and celebrate the season!

$135 (+tax) per personPayment is due by the first league session. We will send you an electronic invoice after you register.

Each league session consists of 15 minutes of practice, four league matches, and practice at the end if time permits. (If you’re unable to attend a week, you can make up your matches the following week – max two weeks.)

League members are scored individually. In the first seven weeks, league members play matches against each other to develop a win/loss record and total score (which will be used to determine their ranking for the final tournament). On the eighth week, league members compete in a double-elimination tournament to determine the winner. See the World Axe Throwing League (WATL) site for more details about the rules and standards. (Subject to change based on WATL rules updates.)

Please Note:  We are reserving the entire facility for league time, and capping participation to 20 players in order to leave ample space for social distancing. We will use 4 targets for match play.

The winner will receive a custom engraved axe, a $100 gift certificate to The Lazy Axe for a future reservation or league, and get their name on the Wall of Champions at The Lazy Axe.


Doubles League

Wednesdays 7:30pm-9pm

6 weeks – 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21

We will also host a League Celebration Night for our Doubles League members on Wednesday 10/28 @ 7:30pm to give out awards and celebrate the season!

$100 (+tax) per personPayment is due by the first league session. We will send you an electronic invoice after you register.

Each league session consists of 10 minutes of practice in the beginning, four league matches, and practice available throughout. (Please see the rules document regarding the “pre-throw” option if you’re unable to attend a session.)

League members in this league are scored as a Doubles Team. See this document for more details about the league rules.

If you don’t have a teammate already, please let us know when you sign up and we will find you a teammate.

Please Note: We are reserving the entire facility for league time, and capping participation to 10 teams of two in order to leave ample space for social distancing. We will use 4 targets for match play, but all other targets will be open for continued practice throughout the session.

Each member of the winning team will receive a free entry into a subsequent Big Axe League at The Lazy Axe.


WATL Big Axe League

Tuesdays 6:30pm-7:00pm

8 weeks – 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3 (skip for Election Day), 11/10

We will also host a League Celebration Night for our Official WATL Individual, Big Axe, and Duals League members on Tuesday 11/17 @ 7pm to give out awards and celebrate the season!

$125 (+tax) per personPayment is due by the first league session. We will send you an electronic invoice after you register.

Each league session consists of 5 minutes of practice and four league matches.

Big Axe matches consist of 5 throws. League members are scored individually. In the first seven weeks, league members play matches against each other to develop a win/loss record and total score (which will be used to determine their ranking for the final tournament). On the eighth week, league members compete in a double-elimination tournament to determine the winner. See the World Axe Throwing League (WATL) site for more details about the rules and standards. (Subject to change based on WATL rules updates)

Participants in the Big Axe League must have prior axe throwing experience. All axes must be approved by The Lazy Axe staff before being used in the league.

The winner of the Big Axe League will receive a $100 gift certificate to The Lazy Axe for a future reservation or league. If the league winner’s scores are high enough, they will earn a chance to compete in the WATL World Championship!!!


WATL Duals League

Wednesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm

8 weeks – 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4

We will also host a League Celebration Night for our Official WATL Individual, Big Axe, and Duals League members on Tuesday 11/17 @ 7pm to give out awards and celebrate the season!

$125 (+tax) per personPayment is due by the first league session. We will send you an electronic invoice after you register.

Each league session consists of 10 minutes of practice in the beginning and four league matches.

A Duals match consists of two players throwing 10 throws at the same target as a team. Players are scored as a team. In the first seven weeks, teams play matches against each other to develop a win/loss record and total score (which will be used to determine their ranking for the final tournament). On the eighth week, teams will compete in a double-elimination tournament to determine the winner. See the World Axe Throwing League (WATL) site for more details about the rules and standards. (Subject to change based on WATL rules updates)

Participants in the Duals League must have prior axe throwing experience and must bring their own axe that complies with WATL standards. All axes must be approved by The Lazy Axe staff before being used in the league.

The winning team of the Duals League will receive a free entry into a subsequent Duals League at The Lazy Axe. If the league winners’ scores are high enough, they will earn a chance to compete in the WATL World Championship!!!
