ElevatED AXEcellence

We are so axecited to announce that we will be partnering with 518 ElevatED for a fun-filled evening of axe throwing to support their mission to connect promising students with mentors, resources, and opportunities to help them achieve a higher education! Join us on Thursday, December 8 from 6-8pm for ElevatED Axecellence, a fundraiser event!
Never thrown an axe? No problem! Participants of all skill levels are welcome— our trained Axeperts (including 2021 Big Axe World Champion Mark Mirasol) will provide instruction and help everyone stick it!
The event will be broken up into two parts. The first hour will consist of an axe throwing lesson, practice time, and team games. During the second hour, participants’ skills will be put to the test in a friendly tournament-style competition!
In addition to axe throwing, the evening will include food, raffles, and prizes!
Registration for an individual costs $50. Mentor/Scholar pairs will cost $90. A portion of each registration fee will go directly to 518 ElevatED.
Scouts BSA Girls Troop Fundraiser
Thursday 3/12 @ 6pm
Join us for a special tournament to support Scouts BSA Troop 3557G, one of the first girls troops in the Capital Region! Help the troop raise funds to purchase equipment and attend summer camp! No axe throwing experience is necessary! Our Axeperts will teach you how to throw and you will have time to practice before and during the tournament.
The winner will receive a $40 gift certificate to The Lazy Axe and a hoodie!

Toys for Tots Tournament
Wednesday 12/18 @ 7pm
Join us to celebrate the holidays, compete in a double elimination tournament, and support a good cause! No axe throwing experience is necessary! Our Axeperts will teach you how to throw and you will have time to practice before the tournament begins and during the tournament.

Yoga Flow and Throw w/ Good Karma Studio
Friday 11/15 6:30-8:00pm
The Lazy Axe is partnering with Good Karma Studio to bring you the ultimate stress relief workshop – Yoga Flow and Throw! Join us for 45 minutes of yoga followed by 45 minutes of axe throwing. Wake up your mind and body with a relaxing flow and then relieve all your tensions when you throw! Warriors of any gender are welcome to join us for this event! Participants must be 13 years or older (and minors 13-17 years old must be accompanied by an adult 21+).
All participants MUST wear closed toe shoes for the axe throwing portion of the workshop. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. Reserve your spot today!
Axetreme Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament
Thursday 10/10 6pm-8pm
The Lazy Axe is partnering with the American Cancer Society of the Capital Region to host the Axetreme Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament!
Participants will compete in a double elimination tournament. No axe throwing experience is necessary! Our Axeperts will teach you how to throw and you will have time to practice before the tournament begins and during the tournament.
Representatives from the American Cancer Society will be present at The Lazy Axe to provide more information, host raffles, and sell food to raise additional funds.

NAMI Night: Chopping Stigma

We are so excited to announce that The Lazy Axe is partnering with the Capital Region chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). We will be donating 10% of all proceeds from axe throwing sessions that occur on Thursday, 9/26. The folks from NAMI will be on hand to provide information about their organization. Please join us to learn more about NAMI’s services and help The Lazy Axe support their cause by “chopping stigma” surrounding mental illness. Book your session for 9/26 today!
The National Alliance on Mental Illness is committed to empowering people living with mental illness at all levels of recovery by offing hope, assistance, and education. NAMI promotes research, fosters understanding, and combats discrimination and stigma through outreach to the community.
