General Info

Guests must be 18 years or older to participate individually. Minors between the ages of 13-17 must be accompanied by a person 21 years or older, who will be responsible for the minor as outlined in our waiver. For every two minors (13-17 years old), at least one adult (21 years or older) must provide active supervision during the throwing session. Minors under the age of 13 are not permitted to participate.

Yes! Our facility is ADA compliant, and our Axeperts will happily accommodate any of our guest’s needs. We strive to make axe throwing accessible to everyone!

You can bring your own axe, but it must adhere to the WATL regulations. Your axe must be inspected and approved by one of our Axeperts before it can be thrown at our facility. Please refer to the WATL rules for axe regulations (Section H).

We would love for you to take pictures and videos of your axe throwing adventure (as long as everyone is being safe, of course)! Please share them on our social media pages and tag @thelazyaxe!

You do not need to bring your own axe. We have plenty of axes and know how to share! : )

No prior experience is necessary to participate at The Lazy Axe! Your axe throwing experience will begin with a short introduction from one of our trained Axeperts, during which you will learn the safety guidelines and basic techniques of axe throwing! Under the guidance and coaching of your designated Axepert, you will be sticking it in no time!

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to join — no experience necessary! As an affiliate of the World Axe Throwing League (WATL), we host official WATL Leagues aligned with the WATL season schedule. We also offer other types of leagues and tournaments throughout the year. Please see our Leagues page for details.

We are a proud member of the World Knife Throwing League (WKTL)! Please see our Leagues page for WKTL League details. We are also offering Knife Night on Thursday – see our Events page for more details.

Yes! You can purchase a digital gift card through our online booking platform.

Yes. Though tipping is not required, it is always greatly appreciated! Our Axeperts will always work hard to provide the best possible experience for our guests, so feel free to show them some love!

Tuesday-Thursday: 5pm-9pm

Friday: 4pm-9pm

Saturday: 11am-10pm

Sunday: 11am-7pm

We have several parking spaces next to our entrance and plenty of additional spaces at the rear of our building.

We recommend wearing loose-fitting clothing that you feel comfortable moving in. Try to avoid any clothing that restricts the range of motion of your arms. Also, for safety purposes, all guests MUST wear closed-toed shoes (no high heels). Plaid flannel shirts are fantastic, but not required. 😉

Reservations

Most definitely! Axe throwing is the perfect activity for birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, divorce parties, gender reveals, team-building, corporate events, or any special occasion! If you are interested in booking an event and/or if you are interested in reserving the whole space, please shoot us an email at info@thelazyaxe.com.

Of course! We understand that our schedule might not work with yours, so please feel free to email us at info@thelazyaxe.com or give us a call at 518-250-9731 to set up a reservation outside of our normal hours. We’re happy to accommodate your group and coordinate with you as best we can!

We do allow walk-ins if space and staffing is available. You may need to wait a bit depending on what time you arrive. The only way to guarantee an axe throwing session is by booking in advance. Walk-in pricing is $30 (tax included) per person. Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes for your session!

We STRONGLY encourage all guests to arrive 10 minutes before their start time – especially if you do not complete the waiver in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot extend the end times for reservations to make up for lost time, as it would be unfair to the next group.

You can cancel (for a full refund) or reschedule your booking up until 24 hours before your scheduled session. Contact us by phone to inquire about a cancellation or to reschedule. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of a scheduled session. No-shows will be charged the full price.

If you need to reschedule because you or someone in your group is sick and it is within 24 hours of your scheduled session, please call us. We can reschedule your session or issue you a gift card to reschedule at another time.

Food/Drinks

Unfortunately, we do not have a beer and wine license, so alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the premises at this time.

Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your own food, snacks, and/or non-alcoholic beverages; we just ask that members of each group clean up after themselves at the end of their session.

If you are planning to host an event at The Lazy Axe, please contact us to discuss the best options for catering.

We do have non-alcoholic drinks and snacks available for purchase. If you are really hungry, you are welcome to bring in food to enjoy during your session!
